Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 34 mm, 26.98 g, 6 h), Rome, 119-circa mid 120. IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. PONT MAX TR POT COS III / S - C / ANNONA AVG Annona standing front, head to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to left, modius containing grain ears; to right, prow of galley to right. BMC 1158. Cohen 183 var. (no drapery). RIC 233. A beautiful piece with a very attractive glossy patina. Extremely fine.
